NORWALK - Norwalk police say five men were arrested last evening in a weapons bust after they received information about the men and their whereabouts.

Officers from the special services division set up a surveillance operation, watched the suspects get into a car and followed them out of a housing complex on Scribner Avenue.

Investigators say once they left the housing complex, officers followed the suspects' car to nearby Connecticut Avenue, where they say they conducted a felony motor vehicle stop.

Police say they found three loaded handguns in the car.

The men, three from Bridgeport and two from Norwalk, faced a judge in a Norwalk court today for illegal weapons possession charges.

Four of the men are previous convicted felons. Police arrest five men with guns in Norwalk
