Police say that a 5-year-old boy was hit by an SUV when he stepped off the sidewalk earlier today in front of 150 Selleck St.The

STAMFORD - Police say that a 5-year-old boy was hit by an SUV when he stepped off the sidewalk earlier today in front of 150 Selleck St.

The child was taken to Stamford Hospital with head injuries but the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening.

Police are treating this as a serious accident and have brought the major accident squad to investigate. They also say that the driver of the SUV is cooperating with the investigation.

Police say they are still searching for witnesses to the accident.
