NORWALK - The rain and cold temperatures caused numerous road accidents in southwestern Connecticut Sunday, including a massive 50-car crash that injured 46 people.
Police say the crash occurred at around 12 p.m. near the corner of Route 110 and Indian Well Road. Six of the injured people were hospitalized, but the others are expected to be fine.
Meanwhile, several cars crashed on the frozen-over Burnell Boulevard bridge. Authorities say drivers had to wait for a salt truck to make it across safely. No one was injured in the crashes.
