FAIRFIELD - Family and friends are marking the fifth anniversary Tuesday of the murders of Kim and Tim Donnelly in their Fairfield jewelry store.

Police say they were gunned down by Christopher DiMeo as part of a multi-state robbery and murder spree.

Dimeo now sits in a jail cell awaiting a trial that's been delayed many times.

Deputy Chief Gary MacNamara, who worked on the case, said "we're still waiting in the wings. It's going to happen. It's just a question of how long it's going to be delayed before justice is served."

Jury selection in DiMeo's case is now scheduled to begin in September.
