FAIRFIELD - Jurors today watched video taken just hours after the double murder at a Fairfield jewelry store as the Christopher DiMeo trial wrapped up its fifth day.

The video is part of the state's case against DiMeo, who could face the death penalty if convicted for the 2005 killings of Tim and Kim Donnelly.

Officials say the footage, taken by the State Police Major Crimes Unit, shows conditions at the Donnellys' store as officials arrived on the scene.

Prosecutors also attempted to place DiMeo at the store during the robbery. They introduced two witnesses, including Tim Donnelly's brother, who identified three rings detectives found in DiMeo's car as items from the store.

The state is expected to try and link several shell casings found in the jewelry store with the gun found in DiMeo's car when court resumes next week.
