MANHATTAN - A memorial dedicated to the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks opened in New York City today.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg welcomed visitors just one day after the 10th anniversary of the attacks.

The 8-acre memorial site features two water fountains and bronze plates that surrounds them, listing the names of nearly the 3,000 people who were killed on Sept. 11 and the six who died in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
