DARIEN - Ninety people from southwestern Connecticut were registered for yesterday's Boston Marathon where two explosions killed three and injured more than a hundred.

Bill Mongovan owns the Runner's Roost in Darien and says his business partner, Jim Gerwick, was covering the marathon for a magazine.

Mongovan says after the explosion he tried calling Gerwick repeatedly but was unable to get in touch initially.

Mongovan estimates about 50 of his customers were participating in the marathon as well.
