MANCHESTER - Police have released 911 calls made from inside the Manchester beer distributor where eight people were murdered Tuesday.

A caller is heard saying, "I just see him running now, he's running away right now he's shooting at somebody else! He's still shooting! He's shooting at a girl!"

Police say Omar Thornton killed eight people and wounded two more before turning the gun on himself after he was forced to resign after being caught on tape stealing beer.

News12 Connecticut sat down with 12-year veteran Weston dispatcher Joe Abruzzi who reviewed the tapes and said that the dispatchers did a good job of remaining calm and handling the situation the best they could.

Abruzzi says the tapes will serve as a valuable lesson for future dispatchers.
