STRATFORD - A fully recovered dog is in search of a new home after officials say she was abandoned and neglected by her owner in late January.

Animal Control rescued the dog, named Brittany by neighbors, a few weeks ago after she was found in a home on Patterson Street. Left alone in a room full of feces and urine and with no food or water, she was taken to the Snowflake Animal Hospital, where she has been recovering since. Police are currently investigating the case against her owner, who neighbors say was a man in his 20s.

Those interested in adopting Brittany should call 203-385-4068.
