Abducted Bridgeport toddler returns home

BRIDGEPORT - A missing 2-year-old from Bridgeport has been found safe and police say his father has been taken into custody.

State police say Christopher Joac, 2, went missing around 11 p.m. last night from his house on Elmwood Avenue and an Amber Alert was immediately put into effect.

Police say his father, Roberto Mones, 29, took the boy after he assaulted his ex-wife.

They say he was arrested in Oakland, N.J. at around 5 a.m after being pulled over on I-95.

Christopher was reunited with his mother today and neighbors say they are happy that he has returned home safe.
