DARIEN - Some drivers were stranded for hours on I-95 this morning due to several weather-related crashes.

Tractor-trailer accidents littered the small stretch of highway between Stamford and Norwalk, creating traffic that stranded some drivers for more than six hours.

The accidents led to a temporary statewide ban of trucks on the highways.

The roads have since been cleared away and traffic has resumed to a normal pace.
