BRIDGEPORT - The man accused of hacking a homeless man with an ax and eating parts of his body in Bridgeport appeared in court this morning.

Police say Tyree Smith killed Angel Gonzalez in December.

Smith was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation during his last court appearance.

Smith had been placed on a suicide watch because his attorney said he had tried to kill himself several weeks ago.
