DARIEN - Darien police say they are filing new charges against the Stamford man believed to be responsible for series of car burglaries over the summer.

Police arrested Joel MacKinnon, 48, in connection with six incidents reported on Aug. 13.

Police say he was spotted breaking into several cars and tried to steal a pickup truck from the train station.

Investigators say he was carrying several items that were later linked to the burglaries.
