Accused Stamford murderer facing sex assault charges

STAMFORD - Stamford police say a man charged with murder in June is now facing sexual assault charges.

Ivan Silva is accused of killing an employee at Uncle Buck's Laundromat in Stamford.

Police say Silva and Elmer Saenz-Machado beat the victim to death.

Police say during their murder investigation, Silva's 15-year-old girlfriend told them she was pregnant with his child.

They say he is now facing charges of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
