STAMFORD - A Stamford police officer facing criminal charges in connection with an incident where a woman claims he showed her a picture of his genitals during a traffic stop has resigned.

Officer Paul Mabey is facing a criminal charge in connection with the incident.

He had been suspended since he was arrested earlier this month.
