Accused Stratford murderer held on bond

STRATFORD - A Bridgeport man remains behind bars on charges he killed the new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend.

Joseph Stanley, 29, is accused of repeatedly stabbing Mark Williams, 28, as well as his ex, Rebecca Paul-Louis, at a home on Hollister Street in Stratford Monday.

Police say at around 8 a.m., Stanley went to Paul-Louis' home, where he attacked Williams, stabbing him 10 times. Paul-Louis also suffered minor wounds to her hand.

At a court hearing yesterday, the judge doubled Stanley's bond to $2 million. He remains in jail and is scheduled to be back in court June 29.
