BRIDGEPORT - Residents are turning to Action for Bridgeport Community Development to provide financial assistance to handle energy consumption during the frigid cold.

With the temperature dropping, residents are feeling the chill in their wallet as well as their homes due to the increase in heating costs. ABCD says this is where they can help residents.

ABCD officials say the process for applying for assistance is time consuming. They say neighbors cannot wait until the last minute to get in touch with the company or they will be stuck with a cold home when the temperatures drop.
