STRATFORD - Stratford police say a former teacher's aide accused of sexually assaulting a student appeared in court Monday.

Kyle Damato-Kushel turned herself in to police earlier this month.

Officials at Wooster Middle School say they fired the 46-year-old last month after learning of the allegations.

They say the abuse involves a friend of one of the suspect's children and that the incident happened at her home.
