Police say Alan Robert Mullarkey assaulting two officers

Police say Alan Robert Mullarkey assaulting two officers during a traffic stop.

BRIDGEPORT - A man is facing charges for allegedly kicking one Bridgeport police officer in the stomach and hurting another.

Police say they stopped Alan Robert Mullarkey, 30, after they received a call of someone driving erratically on the Post Road Sunday.

They say Mullarkey appeared to be drunk and they found beer and vodka in the car.

Police say Mullarkey refused to take a breathalyzer test and fought with officers as they arrested him.
