BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Monday afternoon. 

Police say Alexander Rosa, 27, was crossing Highland Avenue toward the Greene Homes Housing Complex when he was shot in the leg at around 1:30 p.m.

Officials believe Rosa had gotten into a dispute with a group of people before he was shot. They say a woman from the complex helped him get inside the building and call police. 

Rosa is is expected to be OK.
