MILFORD - A New Milford man was arraigned today in the death of a Weston cyclist.

Police say Alexander Scott Lee was making a left turn at the intersection of Old Hawleyville and Dodington roads in Bethel on Oct. 20 when he cut off Thomas Steinert-Threlkel, causing the cyclist to be run over by another car.

A judge set bail for Alexander Scott Lee at $150,000 on charges including leaving the scene and tampering with evidence.

Katye Steinert-Threlkeld, Thomas’ widow, told News 12 she’s relieved that there’s finally a suspect who has been charged. She says she'll be at Lee's next court date on Dec. 11.
