STAMFORD - A Stamford man who was arrested in New York City on charges he groped six 5th-grade girls during a school field trip had a previous arrest in Connecticut.

Police in Stamford say they arrested Tomas Manzano on a charge of third-degree assault last year.

Manzano is currently facing several charges after six girls claim he touched them while he was a chaperone during a Stillmeadow School field trip.

New York City police say Manzano was drunk when he was arrested. He's currently under observation at Bellevue Hospital.
