Amazon to start charging sales tax

The website will charge Connecticut residents starting in November. (2/5/13)

HARTFORD - State officials say Amazon.com is reversing its stance and will start collecting Connecticut sales tax.

The change kicks in Nov. 1.

Gov. Dannel Malloy says the company will also spend $50 million building a facility in the state and creating hundreds of jobs.
