WOODBRIDGE - Students at Amity High School won't get a weeklong vacation next week. Instead, they will spend Presidents Day at school due to the aftermath of December and January's big snowstorms.

No one is happy about having to take away a day of vacation, especially the administration. The school district will have to shell out an extra $6,000 in overtime for secretaries, custodians and para-professionals.

According to Superintendent John Brady, students should expect a fun day at school, filled with activities and lessons on how the national holiday came to be.
