STAMFORD - The UBS Parade Spectacular in Stamford faced some cold and windy conditions this afternoon.

Parade officials decided not to fly large balloons during the event to prevent a potential safety hazard.

Despite the weather conditions, many were on hand to see the marching bands, dancers and other attractions during the parade.

Organizers say the 20th annual event drew around 100,000 people.

Stamford UBS Parade Spectacular

Parade starts Nov. 24 at 12 p.m. on Summer Street at Hoyt Street. It continues on Broad onto Atlantic and concludes at Federal Street.

Road closures:

Summer Street closes at Bridge Street south at 8 a.m.

Broad Street and Atlantic St south to Tresser closes at 8 a.m.

Tresser Blvd from Washington to Edith Sherman closes at 7 a.m.

Atltantic St. from N. State St. to Tresser closes at 7 a.m.

All roads should be open by 3:30 p.m.
