Apparent Stratford beating caught on video

STRATFORD - ? A 15-year-old boy was apparently beaten by a gang of teens in Stratford Friday, and it appears the attack was captured on cell phone video.

The incident took place around 2:30 in the afternoon at a park. The father of the alleged victim, who did not wish to be identified, says the kids who launched the attack have harassed his son in the past. He refers to the gang of kids as ?big bullies? from the south end of town.

The entire incident appears to have been captured on cell phone video. Now, the father says he needs to show that footage to police because officers arrested his son in connection with the incident. The father says he needs to show police his son was a victim, not an instigator.

News 12 Connecticut showed the video of the fight to police, but they say it is only a few seconds long and impossible to know who started the fight.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact police at (203) 385-4100.
