Arrest made in Bridgeport murder

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police say they have arrested a suspect for killing a man and leaving his body in an abandoned house.

The body of Angel Gonzalez was found on the third floor of an abandoned house on Brooks Street.

Police say Tyree Smith was arrested last night at his home in Florida.

Police say Gonzalez died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Family and friends have set up a memorial at the home where the body was discovered. They say a funeral will be too costly and so a service will be held on the street this Friday.
