Arrest made in Stamford pocketbook thefts

Stamford police say Facebook helped lead them to the woman who stole people's pocketbooks while they were attending church last October at the Hilton Hotel.Police

STAMFORD - Stamford police say Facebook helped lead them to the woman who stole people's pocketbooks while they were attending church last October at the Hilton Hotel.

Police arrested Dominique Abelard, 20, yesterday after they say someone identified her on Facebook after police posted surveillance photos of the thefts.

Police are still looking for a second person in connection with the thefts.
