Arrest made in Stratford bank robbery

Stratford police have made an arrest in a bank robbery yesterday. It happened at the People's Bank inside the Stop & Shop at the Dock

STRATFORD - Stratford police have made an arrest in a bank robbery yesterday.

It happened at the People's Bank inside the Stop & Shop at the Dock Shopping Center yesterday afternoon.

Police say Michael Monroe, 21, handed the teller a note demanding cash and got away with about $1,300.

They say he did not show a weapon but implied he had one.

Police say after the robbery, they found Monroe at the Ramada Inn on Lordship Boulevard.

Officers say he also had drugs on him.
