BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old who allegedly made a threat at Central High School.

Officers say they used surveillance video to identify a suspect, but they are not releasing his name because he is a juvenile.

They say the teen admitted to making two similar threats in recent days in the form of graffiti, though police say the threats were not credible and students were never in any danger.

The school was put on lock-in mode for about 90 minutes while classes went on as usual as a result of today's incident. Those who showed up late for school were locked outside until the lock-in was lifted.

Cellphone video obtained by News 12 Connecticut indicates that many students were not overly concerned, but some parents say the situation could have been handled better.
