Arrest warrant issued in Stamford slashing

STAMFORD - Stamford police say they plan to arrest a man who slashed another man's neck just after the Alive at Five concert wrapped up last month.

Hampton Robinson, Jr., 27, was in court today on unrelated charges that he violated an order of protection for threatening an ex-girlfriend.

Stamford authorities say they now have the warrant to arrest Robinson, Jr. in the slashing case.

Police say Robinson attacked the man at around 9 p.m. after M.C. Hammer played the Alive at Five concert in July.

It happened on Clark Street near the Bell Street parking garage.

Police say the victim was savagely attacked with a razor to his jaw and throat causing severe blood loss.

Officials say the victim knew his attacker and that it was part of an ongoing dispute.
