BRIDGEPORT - The top arson investigator in Bridgeport is facing charges after police say she hired someone to torch her car.

Waterbury police say Detective Kimberly Biehn reported her 2003 Mercedes Benz missing in Bridgeport in 2008 and it was found burning in Waterbury.

Police say she received an insurance payout for the car.

Biehn has been suspended without pay while city officials investigate.
