Autopsies scheduled for victims found dead in koi pond

GREENWICH - Autopsies will be performed tomorrow on a grandmother and grandson who were pulled from a shallow fish pond in Greenwich yesterday morning.

Police say 2-year-old Massimo Furano and 78-year-old Anna Furano were found in the man-made pond on Fox's Lane, a private road just off West Putnam Avenue.

Police say the grandson was brought to the grandmother's home, just down this street, where she was set to baby-sit him.

They say the grandfather stepped out for a while and when he came back, he found both his wife and grandson in the pond.

Police say they do not believe foul play was involved.
