Autopsy to take place today for Bridgeport murder victim

BRIDGEPORT - An autopsy will be performed today on the 22-year-old student who was shot several times at a market in Bridgeport Tuesday.

Police say Moin Hassan was visiting a friend who worked at a convenience store on Fairfield Avenue when someone walked in and shot him in the chest.

He later died at Bridgeport Hospital.

Officials at the University of Bridgeport say Hassan was a grad student who moved here from Bangladesh two months ago to study electrical engineering.

The school is planning a private vigil in his memory.
