BRIDGEPORT - The final tally of Bridgeport ballots may push Democrat Dan Malloy past GOP candidate Tom Foley to become Connecticut's next governor.
An official announcement has yet to be made.
Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch announced this morning that Malloy received 17,800 votes in the city. According to Finch, Foley received 4,075 votes.
The Foley campaign has already challenged the Bridgeport numbers.
Numbers from Bridgeport that should have been in by 6 p.m. last night to Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz are now on their way to Hartford.
