BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport residents are getting excited for the new Bass Pro Shops opening in just three weeks.

News 12 Connecticut's John Craven got a special look inside the 150,000-square-foot store on Steel Point.

The new Bass Pro Shops will employee 125 workers and features a 12-lane bowling alley.

The store will also have local touches, including a hand-painted mural of the Housatonic River and a Long Island Sound buoy.

Officials say the opening of the store is part of a project designed to revitalize an area of the city that has struggled for decades.
