MILFORD - A benefit concert was held in Milford Saturday night for the high school student fatally stabbed last month.

Police say 16-year-old Maren Sanchez was stabbed to death in a hallway at Jonathan Law High School by fellow classmate Christopher Plaskon. Students say he attacked her after she rejected his invitation to their junior prom.

A Beatles tribute band called The Mystery Tour performed to raise money for the Maren Sanchez Memorial Fund.

The band says that even though the community is still grieving the loss, they were honored to be part of the benefit and wanted the night to be uplifting.
