NORWALK - Ray Schneider of Bethel has climbed the stairs to the top of some of the tallest and most famous buildings.

By walking his way up landmarks such as the Sears Tower and Empire State Building, Schneider hopes to help others who have trouble breathing. Schneider, who is nearly 56 years old, is joined by fellow climbers, many who participate in memory of a loved one with respiratory problems, such as pulmonary fibrosis.

The climbers admit the events are challenging, but that it is worth it to "tackle the tower."

The next American Lung Association climb is "Battle the Bowl" at the Yale Bowl in September.
