NORWALK - Former President Bill Clinton was not hurt when his motorcade was involved in a pair of crashes on the Merritt Parkway yesterday.

The first happened when the motorcade slowed down due to traffic just south of exit 38 in Norwalk. A car failed to slow down fast enough crashing into the rear car in the motorcade. The second happened when a person passing the first crash sideswiped another car in the motorcade.

Clinton, who was on his way to give a speech at Yale, called the crashes a fluke and said he was not hurt.
