RIDGEFIELD - A suspicious fire that started overnight in Ridgefield is under investigation Monday. Fire officials say flames were shooting through the roof when they arrived at 38 Pumping House Road at around 12:45 a.m. More than 40 firefighters from several surrounding communities were called in to help battle the fire. Officials say the back of the home was gutted and they found several smaller fires burning in other parts of the home. Fire officials say they're working with police to find out how the fire started. Arson has not been ruled out. No one was injured.
