BRIDGEPORT - A fire damaged a boat docked on land at Captain Cove's Seaport in Bridgeport early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters say no one was hurt in the fire, which sparked just after 2 a.m. The fire did not spread to neighboring boats, but the flames damaged the boat's masts and cabin.

Bruce Williams, vice president of the Captain's Cove Seaport, says the 60-foot schooner named Isaac Webb was days away from setting sail for the first time this season. It had been docked at the marina for the past few years.
