Body of missing kayaker found

WILTON - Crews say they have found the body of a man who went missing while kayaking Friday.

Search crews confirmed that they located the body of James Lind, 46, this afternoon. They say Lind died of an apparent drowning.

The crews had earlier found a paddle and clothes they believe belonged to Lind.

Lind's girlfriend, Doreen Wallace, 50, was pulled from the river Friday and died later at Norwalk Hospital. An autopsy confirmed she died from accidentally drowning.

Officials say last week's heavy rainfall may have contributed to their deaths and that neither were wearing life jackets or helmets at the time of the accident.
