Bombing suspect had several local ties

NORWALK - Investigators say the man suspected of trying to blow up a car bomb in Times Square over the weekend is cooperating.

Faisal Shahzad has been cooperating with the investigation giving valuable details according to officials.

Meanwhile, we're learning more about his ties to southwestern Connecticut.

Shahzad lived in Bridgeport and owned a home in Shelton that was foreclosed on last year.

He received two degrees from the University of Bridgeport. He also spent three years as a junior financial analyst for the Affinion Group in Norwalk until June of last year.
