Bond set for credit union robbery suspect

MILFORD - A man accused of holding up a Milford credit union and threatening the lives of everyone inside had his bond set at $370,000 Thursday.

Eric Lappena, 22, is charged with armed robbery and larceny. Prosecutors say Lappena held up the Sikorsky Credit Union back in September. He allegedly told all eight people inside he had a gun and ordered them to the floor.

According to authorities, Lappena made off with more than $10,000. Police recently caught him in Florida.

The suspect's attorney says Lappena was checking out a car at a dealership when the robbery occurred.
