WILTON - The Borders book store along Route 7 in Wilton is set to close within the next several weeks.

Some residents in the area say the closure is just another sign of the tough economic times.

Business owners in the plaza where the Borders is located say they're worried about the closure because the anchor store brought in a lot of foot traffic.

Borders employees say the closure will take place within the next six to nine weeks.  The company says its Danbury and Milford stores are set to close as well.
