NEWTOWN - One woman has donated 50 books to Newtown Library in an effort to help survivors of the elementary school shooting cope with their experience.

Lisa Rovello donated 50 copies of "The Moon Balloon" to Newtown Library. The book, which is designed to help children heal from painful experiences, was written by her mother Joan Drescher.

Town officials say they requested "The Moon Balloon" because it was used with great success in Dunblane, Scotland after a 1996 shooting.

The library also held a bereavement counseling session for the students.
