Bouncer helps track down Stamford stabbing suspect

STAMFORD - Stamford police are crediting the bouncer of a local restaurant for catching a man who allegedly stabbed another bouncer in the stomach last night. Authorities say Ismael Esteban-Lazaro, 24, stabbed the victim after being kicked out of Hugo's Mexican Restaurant. The other bouncer then called 911 and chased the suspect until police arrived. Police say they found Esteban-Lazaro behind Stamford Hospital, and took him into custody. He faces a series of charges, including first-degree assault. The victim was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery and is listed in stable condition.
