Boyfriend of Bridgeport murder victim released from jail

BRIDGEPORT - The boyfriend of the woman murdered during a reported home invasion in Bridgeport is now out of jail.

Abimael Ramos is charged with criminal possession of a gun.

His girlfriend, Luz Morales, 24, was shot to death Monday night around midnight.

Ramos says he had opened their door to let the dogs out and two men rushed inside and shot Morales.

Neighbors on Wood Avenue say they are disturbed by the shooting and they're anxious to know more from police.

Police say it's still unclear if this will be labeled as a home invasion.
