STRATFORD - The Stratford Brakettes have won the Women's Major Softball National Championship.

The softball team beat the St. Louis Saints at the Frank DeLuca Hall of Fame Field in Stratford this past Sunday.

The Brakettes have won 119 straight games, stretching all the way back to June 4, 2010.  They finished this season with a record of 63-0.

The record-breaking team says it is a bit superstitious during games and that it certainly doesn't take any team member for granted.

This was the Brakettes 30th championship in their 65-year history.  It's also their second undefeated season.
