Brenda Mazariegos reaches settlement in brutality complaint against Stamford police

STAMFORD - The attorney for a woman who accused a Stamford police officer of punching her says the city has agreed to pay her a $230,000 settlement.

The incident happened at an Alive at 5 concert in 2009.

Brenda Mazariegos, of Norwalk, says she was attempting to enter her employer's parking lot when an officer told her to get out of her car and punched her in the face.

The officer, Greg Zach, testified that she was the aggressor.
